I coughed through my lunch, trying not laugh at the same time. I heard the band shift and move to try and see what was happening.
"Rena, what's wrong? Don't kill yourself." Erika said patting my back. I swallowed and laughed out loud.
"I don't get it. What's so funny?" Ryan asked leaning back and forth to try and see Erika and me since he was farthest away.
"Vampires!" I shouted louder than I wanted to. I set my salade to my right and leaned forward while wrapping my arms around my stomach.
"Rena, people are staring..." Erika whispered to me. Over my laughing, I heard the band start to laugh, too.
"What?!" Erika shrieked when the f

I leaned onto my left hand, bored, as I searched the web for random song lyrics. I had my earphones on and plugged into the computer listening to songs from my iTunes playlist. I clicked a very reliable lyrics site to a song by Panic! At the Disco, only to get a loud POP noise followed by someone saying (only it was more like shouting since my earphones turn any volume up very loud), "Would you like to help Panic! At the Disco? Click here to find out how!"
Holding the earphones away from my head and dangling in my hand, I stared at them able to hear the entire announcement though they were several inches away. Though I did like the idea

"Wow, that was pathetic." I said when the rest of the page was just a bunch of pleas from the band; though I did look at the phone number they gave for anyone to call. I wrote down the number and grinned evilly at it.
I had the power to help! And I also knew of a place for a small gig if they were willing. Would they like the idea? Would it help them get back out in the world? Would anyone come?
But there was one question that I needed help answering, a question I needed help to go ask.
Would the place I have in mind agree to the band coming?
Realizing the issue, I calmly hit pause on my iTunes playlist, gently took my earphones out,

As Erika and I, nearly running back to my house, we talked about the when and who. How many, and what the cost was. I looked at the little notebook paper in my left hand.
"It says it can hold up to two hundred people with seating, but can hold about fifty more since their taking out the seats. Well, let's hope they do." I said slowing my pace so I wouldn't trip. Erika stopped a few feet in front of me and I nearly walked into her.
"That'll be good. It can be a purely fan thing. This way, only fans can come. But wait, when should we hold this?" Erika asked grabbing the paper. She stared at it hard.
"Well, since it is only Monday, I

Over the next couple of days, Erika and I had our hands full with setting up the Strand for the night gig, where the band would play all their songs, handing out papers, putting up new posters saying that theres now a band, and once all that was done, Erika and I had to decorate the Strand! Luckily, between the two of us running around the entire town, we finally got everything up; all that we had left was painting a prop for the band. When I'd asked if they needed anything else, all they said was just to have a little something from us to them.
Sometime early Wednesday morning (probably at least 3AM), while Erika and I were painting

"No, no way! I am not doing it that way! If I were to even try that, I think Id hurt myself."
"Good point. These girls are depending on us. And isn't this their last free day before the events actually take place?"
"That's when Lauren said before she went back to sleep. You think this will help raise money?"
"I didn't plan this, they did."
"Well, either way, it's a good thing they did, or we'd be somewhere living in a box."
"Hoboes frighten me..."
There was a murmur of agreement through the room.
I wasn't really awake. More like, half asleep, and more on the sleep side. I turned onto my side, thinking of how warm the bed w

After I finished highlighting all the letters in Panic! At the Disco, I picked up a larger paintbrush and started on the background. Erika and I figured that since the letters were red, the background color should be black. It would only be right, either way.
I thought about how many ghosts could be watching now, making me skittish and downright scared out of my mind.
I was working on the middle of the "a" in "Panic!" when I heard someone sneeze. Well, I knew it was sneeze, but I couldn't help but to scream.
I threw my paintbrush toward whoever had just made the noise, hitting the person in the forehead and splattering black paint all o

I yawn a little, but tried to swallow it back. I didn't want to fall back asleep so I can maybe finish a little of it before Erika wakes up.
"You know, I could help, if you want." I heard Spencer say from the edge of the stage. I turned my head to look over my shoulder at him. His hair was wet and a darker shade of brown than before. I laughed.
"What?!" He asked jumping onto the stage to walk to me. I turned around and pointed to his wet hair. "Oh... Well, I wouldn't laugh at you if your hair was wet. Maybe I should hit you with a paintbrush."
"If you do, you can say good-bye to this gig." I said turning back to the sign. I heard

"So, what're these papers about, Rena?" Jon asked a half hour later.
Erika and I had been working while listening to Ryan on guitar and Brendon singing. We were farther along than we'd expected once they'd started playing.
"Well, whenever I'm bored in Study Hall, I'll get out paper and start writing whatever comes to mind." I answered, surprised a little that Erika wasn't interrupting.
"Hey, Erika, why didn't you stop Rena from telling the real story?" Spencer asked lowering a hair-tie he was playing with. His hands were red from accidentally letting the hair-tie go and it snapping on his skin.
"Cause Rena didn't wonna use the "mature"
