After getting across to the fourth part of Horse Trading Days, I walked around, carefully watching to make sure Erika wouldn't be there and not to trip over any wires.  If I played my cards right, I could get through the entire place without being noticed by too many people.  Which was hard since more than three thirds of the town now knew me, and...

"Hey look, everyone!  It's Rena!" A man, I think his name was Dave, said from the gazebo.  He was speaking into a microphone.  "She and her friend arranged for Panic! At the Disco to come!  Hey, why not let her sing?"

I swear my face looked like "o.0" as soon as Dave said my name.  I'd flinched really badly, so I was hunched forward with my arms out like I was ready to pounce.  Everyone looked over their shoulders to look at me, and when they saw how I was poised, they giggled.

"Rena, you have a great voice!  Come up and sing us a song!" Dave called.  Someone came up behind me and pushed me to the gazebo.

"Uhh, I'd really like, to, Joe, but I gotta... Be somewhere else!" I said walking away.  As soon as I was past a booth with cute Halloween signs in it, I started running.

"Rena!  There you are!" I heard Erika call from somewhere.  I stopped running, tripped, and somehow did a summersault before really stopping.

"Oh, crap, Rena, are you okay?!" I heard Spencer call from the same direction of Erika.

I looked up to see everything blurred together.  I reached up to my eyes to see that my glasses had fallen off sometime during the fall.  I reached out and put my hand on the grass where I thought my glasses might have fallen.

"What's wrong?" Spencer asked kneeling down beside me.

"Help me find my glasses, please?" I asked getting a headache from not being able to see.

"Oh, here, Rena." I heard a female voice say.  She handed me my glasses, but I felt the rage build inside me when she spoke.  It wasn't Erika.

"Oh, hello!  I'm Ashley, and you're from Panic! At the Disco!" She said.  "I'm a big fan of your drumming, Spencer!"

"Will you just get the hell away!" I shouted at Ashley.

"But, Rena, we're friends!" She said putting her arm around my shoulders.

"Oh sure!  Act nice now!  Try that four years ago and maybe I'll be nice!  Oh, wait.  You can't turn back time, bitch, so get the hell away!" I shouted at Ashley.

I stood up and stormed away.  I could hear Erika apologizing and Spencer trying to catch up to me.

"Rena, why'd you shout like that?  She didn't do anything.  I can understand you and I feel the same way, but that's no reason to get jealous." Spencer said.  He was nearly running to keep up with me.

"No, it's the fact that she was the one who made me have these problems today to I hold a grudge on!" I said angrily to Spencer.  We were not far from the rest of the band, and they were watching carefully.

"If any of you need me, I'll be hiding somewhere away from people, so don't need me!" I said to everyone before I stormed into the Strand.

I ran to the second floor, found the stairs to the abandoned third floor, and hid myself in the dark shadows of a room in which the window was boarded up, and holes in the floor.

Yay. Chapter 17. I don't even know if anyone is reading these, so why bother writing them? Because I have really sweet moments planned.

And I think I'm the only Spencer fangirl in the world. o.0^

I don't own P!ATD or the Strand, or anything else I may've mentioned.
